River San Marcos

The San Marcos River rises from the San Marcos Springs, the location of Aquarena Springs, in San Marcos, Texas.The joys of the San Marcos Rive make it a refreshing and cost effective means of spending quality time with friends and family. You can simply grab the kids and get on to the river for endless fun, as much as you can take it. Swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving are popular recreational activities in San Marcos. Take a picnic, sunscreen and a waterproof camera for a great, economical day. Get a Tube from Korner Stop and You can go to enjoy tubing with the college crowd, the water is so clear, you can see all the way to the bottom of the river.
The San Marcos River offers almost 250 acres of park land in San Marcos. The San Marcos River winds through 150 acres of the parks area & includes jogging trails, playgrounds, picnic tables, several ball courts and great fishing, not to mention everyone's favorite pastime...toobing!! One area of the park contains a really pretty waterfall area that kayakers enjoy using as well. You can't miss when you visit the San Marcos River. It truly is a hidden gem!
